House Rules

Prohibited

• Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is prohibited. In the event of a violation, a minimum cleaning fee of €150 will be charged. If smoking in the room causes the fire alarm to be activated, the fire brigade call-out fee of €275 will be charged to you. For your safety, our safety, and that of other guests, covering or tampering with our smoke detectors is strictly prohibited. If this is detected, a fine of €150 will be imposed.
• It is prohibited to consume, use, possess, or trade narcotics in or around the hotel. This includes soft drugs, hard drugs, and nitrous oxide. If this is detected, you will be removed from the hotel.
• It is prohibited to possess weapons or objects that could be used as weapons.
• It is prohibited to remove hotel property from the premises. In the event of intentional damage to hotel property, you may be held liable for the costs of repair and/or replacement.
• It is prohibited to use candles, incense, or any other open flames due to fire safety regulations.
• It is prohibited to use decorations such as confetti without prior permission. Any additional cleaning or repair costs will be charged to you. Please check with reception whether your decorations are permitted.
• It is prohibited to take photos and/or record video for commercial or social media-related purposes without prior permission. A written request must be submitted by email, and recording is only permitted after written approval has been provided by the hotel. In all other cases, this is not permitted.
• It is prohibited to receive guests in the room for the purpose of sex work. If this is detected or suspected, you will be removed from the hotel and the matter may be reported to the relevant authorities. Recording photo or video material for online sexual activities is also prohibited.
• It is prohibited to use the fitness and wellness facilities without an overnight stay at the hotel. Violation of this rule will result in a fine of €150 per person, payable at reception. If payment is refused, the matter will be reported to the police.
• It is prohibited to book a room in your name without staying in the room yourself. Subletting will result in immediate removal from the hotel.
• It is prohibited to stay in the room with more guests than the number for which it was reserved. Receiving visitors in the room is also not permitted.
• It is prohibited to bring pets other than dogs into the hotel. Dogs are only permitted with prior approval from the hotel. Bringing a dog into the hotel without permission is also prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in a €100 fine, payable at reception.
• It is prohibited to use verbal and/or physical violence against staff or other guests.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

• We respect your privacy at all times. However, we reserve the right to enter your room in the event of a violation of our house rules or if there is a strong suspicion that these rules are not being observed. Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht-Maas applies a zero-tolerance policy. This means that if you fail to comply with our house rules, no warning will be given and you will be required to leave the hotel immediately. No refund will be issued, and any deposit paid may be retained. In all situations not covered by these house rules, the management of Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht-Maas will make the final decision.

General Rules

• We kindly ask you to always follow the instructions and directions given by our staff.
• For any questions or complaints, please contact the reception desk or the hotel management.
• If you do not agree with our policy, we are unfortunately unable to issue a room key.
• Check-in is possible from the age of 18. Minors must always stay under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• Upon arrival, we ask all guests to present a valid form of identification.
• If the room has been reserved for two or more guests, all guests must present a valid form of identification. It is not permitted to receive unregistered persons or other hotel guests in the room. If this is established, you will be required to leave the hotel immediately.

Safety

• In the event of a fire, remain calm. Report the fire to reception and/or activate the nearest fire alarm.
• Leave the building immediately when the fire alarm sounds.
• Never use the elevators in case of fire.
• Emergency exits may only be used in case of an emergency.
• Misuse of emergency facilities, such as the emergency telephone, may result in a €100 fine, which must be paid at reception.

Liability & Property

• Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht-Maas is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
• Found items should be handed in at reception.
• As a guest, you are responsible for any damage to the hotel or its property. Any resulting costs will be charged to you.
• If a violation of the house rules is suspected, Valk Exclusief Hotel Maastricht-Maas reserves the right to enter your room.
• CCTV cameras are installed at various locations throughout the hotel. By entering and remaining on the premises, guests consent to being recorded. In the event of an emergency and/or incident, these recordings may be provided to the relevant authorities as supporting evidence.
• The management/owner of this location and/or persons working for the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage suffered by visitors to the premises.

Quiet & Conduct

• We kindly ask you to be considerate of other guests and to avoid causing any disturbance, including loud music, inappropriate behaviour, or noise of any kind.
• We kindly ask you to observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
• Inappropriate behaviour, such as verbal or physical aggression, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the hotel.
• If you are removed from the hotel, we are not responsible for the consequences and cannot be held liable for any fines and/or other damages incurred.
